Michael, seems obvious but perhaps not...what is the one pounder go for? Also, what condition is the product in? Is it cut square, what is it? How many saddles/nuts does the "standard" one pound/ 1/2 pound yield usally? I am definitely interested. I know what FWI is I usually buy mine from a museum currator. When I say "what is it" I mean how is it cut/sold. |

I am not positive of how many nut and saddles you get from a pound. The material in in the rough rectangles. meaning it has been rough sized like shell blanks, as big as the raw material allowed minus major flaws. by weight I am guessing you could get 12 to 16 nuts or saddles from a pound but I will ask John to give me a better Idea. If you get only 6 nuts out of a pound you made your money back. price per pound is $PM me |

Sorry for removing the prices from the previous posts but have been informed it is confidential. Also John said that the pieces are random in size and color. he asked me to get intouch with Sir William Cumpiano to vereify typ quanities rendered from a pound. as he was not for sure. I will report as soon as I here back from him. |

This secret price stuff is foolish, and arguably illegal. Secret prices usually smack of price fixing. And that makes me mad. What's the dang price? Do they want to make a sale or not? |

Price is not secret it is confidential as in to available to the general public. John will gladly give you the pricing info if you contact him and confirm your self as a luthier of jewelry maker, but he will require that you keep it confidential. You apparently have done done any Wholesale business before. This is standard procedure for wholesale supplies. |

Well Bill Compiano responded and told me that the blanks can vary greatly in size and some blanks will be too small for guitars, You will have to deal with faults in the material that you can't see till you have processed the raw blanks. He did tell me that he got 6 saddles and nuts before he stopped processing and still had blanks to work. If 6 saddles and nut are the minimum and based on the typical retail price that saddle and nut blanks are going for, you more than double your investment per pound not counting you labor to process. |
